How we make money
AppOutfitter earns recurring commissions when you start a trial or subscription through some of our links to the apps we cover. That is the whole model, and it funds the research. It does not decide the verdicts.

Commissions never buy a ranking
A higher commission cannot move an app up a list, and no vendor can pay for a review, a placement, or a score. We rank on the published rubric, full stop. When two picks are close, we say so and tell you what breaks the tie for different stores — we do not manufacture a winner to sell a click.
No fabricated credentials
Our writers are market researchers and editors. We make no claim to be running your kind of store, we publish no invented revenue results or income figures, and we never fabricate hands-on testing. Bylines describe what a person actually does here — builds the rubric, reads the published data and merchant reviews, edits the research beat — and nothing they don’t. Corrections & freshness
Apps change, prices move, and we get things wrong sometimes. When we update a comparison, the date you see reflects a real change to the page — we do not stamp a fresh year on stale work to game a feed. Spot an error? Tell us and we will fix it.
Independent of the platforms & the apps
AppOutfitter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any ecommerce platform, and no app we cover owns us or pays for placement. Platform and app names are used nominatively, to identify the products we discuss. Where platform policy or law matters — SMS consent, review incentives, data handling — we give factual, general information, never legal advice, and point you to the current terms of the platform and each app's own documentation.
